Panipat, July 18
A 46-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter were found murdered in their house at Indira Colony of Model Town area here on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as Rani and daughter Neetu alias Anjali.
Their throats were slit and they were stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon.
According to information, neighbours heard the TV being played at a high volume in the house. They found things fishy and sounded the police.
The police found the two women lying on a bed in a pool of blood.
SP Manisha Chaudhary, DSP Sandeep Kumar, Model Town SHO and the FSL team reached the spot.
One Idris, who had rented a place in the house, was found murdered around 10 days ago. He allegedly was in a relation with deceased Rani. The police had arrested Ankush, son of Rani, a week ago for allegedly killing Idris.
The police have sent the bodies to the general hospital for post-mortem. The SP said a murder case is being registered against unidentified people.
