With the number of tourists visiting Lahaul and Spiti witnessing a considerable rise after the inauguration of the Atal Tunnel, the Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to ply eco-friendly electric buses between Kullu-Manali and Keylong.
The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) on Friday plied a bus on a trial basis on the route. The 9.02-km tunnel, the longest above 10,000 feet in the world, has become a major tourist attraction, facilitating year-round access to picturesque tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti.
