Coronavirus: Lonavla closed as a precaution till March 31; Private businesses in rural areas are still open





Lonavla: City of Lonavla will be closed until March 31 as a precautionary measure to prevent the outbreak of coronary infectious diseases and health of the citizens, said city president Surekha Jadhav, deputy president Sridhar Pujari and chief officer Sachin Pawar.

Special precautions are being taken in Pune and Mumbai areas including Maharashtra, Maharashtra due to the increasing prevalence of infectious diseases. Pune collector Naval Kishore Ram has recently instructed the local administration to take precautions to ensure that no more than five persons will be assembled in one order. Lonavla city is a central tourist destination and tourists come from all over the country including Mumbai Pune. The tourists are taking precautions to avoid corona infection in Lonavla cities. Goods Grocery Stores All types of shops, hotels, restaurants, chikki shops, handicrafts, ferries, and shopkeepers are advised to close the shops except vegetable milk and medicines. Sixteen people from different countries have been kept in quarantine in their home and city council health officials are taking information about it. None of the above has been diagnosed with coronary disease but they are being examined as a precaution. The Lonavala Municipal Council and Lonavala City Police Station have challenged the citizens not to go viral on any message by believing any rumors. Mayor Surekha Jadhav, Vice-President Sridhar Pujari, Health Committee Chairman Sindhu Pardeshi, Chief Sachin Pawar have started spraying ward wise powder to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Though the economy of Lonavla city has collapsed due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, all the businessmen have decided to close their shops considering the health of the citizens. The Lonavala Municipal Council and the city president have also challenged the citizens not to leave the house without work and not rush to any public place.

Private business started in rural areas

While various measures are being taken in the city of Lonavala to prevent the spread of corona disease, many private businesses are still operating in rural areas. Some hotels and restaurants are open. While more than 50 employees are working in a vehicle showroom in the village of Wakasai, they are being stopped at work without providing work for home. Since there is no denying the possibility of coronary disease to the employees through the purchase of vehicles or inquiries, the Lonavala Rural Police Administration and Taluka Administration, Gramsevak, Talathi, Sarpanch and members in the rural areas should pay special attention to ensure that no more than five persons come together.
